بیانیه مشترک سه انجمن فعال در سینمای مستند
صبح روز بیستم اردیبهشت با ورود و بازرسی گسترده به خانه‌ها و محل‌های کار دست‌کم 10 تن از مستندسازان، گوشی‌های همراه، هاردها، لپ‌تاپ‌ها و برخی دیگر از وسایل کارشان بدون توضیحی رسمی ضبط و دو تن از آنها، مینا کشاورز و فیروزه خسروانی، بازداشت شده‌اند.
در چند روز گذشته به خواست وکلا و خانواده‌های این عزیزان، از هرگونه واکنش عمومی، حتی در حد اطلاع‌رسانی خودداری کردیم، به این امید که کمترین بخت احتمالی برای گشایش وضعیت را از آنها دریغ نکنیم؛ اما به‌رغم وعده‌هایی چند، بعد از 5 روز هیچ چشم‌انداز روشنی از وضعیت همکارانمان پیش روی ما قرار نگرفته و توضیحی رسمی درباره این بازداشت‌ها و نحوه رسیدگی به آن بیان نشده است.
امروز ما اعضای هیئت مدیره‌های سه انجمن فعال در حوزه سینمای مستند ایران بنا بر وظیفه‌ی صنفی و انجمنی خود، خواستار اعلام روشن دلایل بازداشت همکارانمان و آزادی فوری آنها هستیم؛
ما می‌خواهیم روند رسیدگی و تعیین تکلیف کاملاً شفاف و علنی و در کوتاه‌ترین زمان ممکن طی شود؛
ما نگران گرفتار شدن همکارانمان در هزارتوی سؤتفاهم‌های فزاینده سیاسی هستیم؛
ما خواهان بازگرداندن بی‌قید و شرط و هرچه زودتر وسایل و لوازم کاری و شخصی همه‌ی همکاران خود هستیم؛ این وسایل همه‌ی سرمایه و زندگی یک مستندساز است و بدون آنها زندگی‌شان مختل می‌شود؛
ما نگران مصائب تشدیدشده‌ی خانواده‌های همکارانمان هستیم که راه دور و کسالت و کهولت امکان پیگیری‌های بی‌پاسخ را درباره وضعیت فرزندشان دشوارتر و ناگوارتر کرده و می‌خواهیم به نگرانی‌ها و شرایط ویژه‌ی آنها توجه شده و به خواست‌ها و انتظارات‌شان پاسخ روشن داده شود؛
ما خواهان از میان برداشتن فضای آکنده از ترس و ناامنی مدام از زندگی و کار فیلمسازان مستند به عنوان بخش مهمی از تاریخ‌نگاری کشورمان هستیم؛
و در این راه همراهی و هم‌گامی همه‌ی دست‌اندرکاران سینمای ایران را در بیان خواستی جمعی برای آزادی همکارانمان خواستاریم.

Joint Statement of Three Active Iranian Documentary Film Associations
On the morning of May 10th two of our colleagues – Mina Keshavarz and Firouzeh Khosravani – were arrested without any official explanation. This followed after extensive searches of the homes and workplaces of at least ten documentary filmmakers and confiscation of their mobile phones, hard drives, laptops as well as personal and work belongings.
In the past days and in accordance with the requests of our colleagues’ families and their lawyers, we have refrained from any public reaction or broadcasting of this news. We waited and hoped for an opening in their situation.
Contrary to many promises, after five days there is no outlook of resolution in sight. So far there has been no official explanation regarding the reason behind these arrests and the procedures involved. .
Today, we, the Board of Directors of three active Iranian documentary film associations, in accordance with our duties as unions and associations – demand a clear explanation of the reason behind the arrest of our colleagues and demand their immediate release.
We require this procedure to be handled transparently, publicly and in the shortest possible time.
We are worried about our colleagues getting caught up in an ever-more complex labyrinth of growing political suspicion.
We expect unconditional return of all of the personal and professional belongings of our colleagues. These belongings are the life-line and the most valuable possessions of a documentary filmmaker. Without these belongings their life and work will be severely disrupted.
We are concerned for the increasing calamity imposed upon the families of our colleagues, some of whom due to illness, old age or long distance have experienced extraordinary difficulty in getting an update without any answer regarding the situation. We demand attention to these hardships and special conditions and require a clear alleviation of the difficulties faced by the families and clear answers to their requests.
We demand an end to an expanding environment of fear and insecurity in which documentary film makers live and work, because they play a significant role in the historiography of our country.
In this statement we also call upon everyone who is affiliated with the Iranian cinema industry to join our collective demand for the release of our colleagues.
